Questions & answers
Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about the theme and how it works with Spark Fitment and Spark Shipping.
Is Spark Fitment included with the theme?
No. Spark Fitment is a separate, free Shopify app, not part of the theme purchase. The theme is designed to pair with it — with dedicated slots for the year/make/model lookup — but you install the app separately.
Do I need Spark Shipping to use the theme?
No. The theme works on its own. Spark Shipping is recommended if you want to automate supplier feeds — inventory, pricing, orders, and tracking — and to populate the compatibility and fitment data the theme displays. If you already manage your catalog another way, the theme is happy to work with it.
Can I use the theme without fitment data?
Yes. Fitment is entirely optional. When compatibility metafields are empty or missing, the related badges and fitment lines simply stay hidden — there are no empty placeholders and nothing looks broken. You can add fitment data later and the badges appear automatically.
How do I show compatibility on product cards?
Configure the compatibility metafields the theme reads. By default it looks at spark.compatibility, spark.part_number, and spark.fitment_summary — all adjustable in theme settings. Once those fields hold data, badges and fitment summaries appear on cards and product pages.
Can Spark Shipping populate the compatibility metafields?
Yes. Spark Shipping can write product data and fitment/compatibility metafields into Shopify automatically as it syncs your supplier feeds, so the theme's badges and fitment summaries stay accurate without manual entry.
How do I get theme updates?
Shopify notifies you in your admin (Online Store → Themes) whenever a new version is published, and you can add it in one click. You can also sign up for email notifications so you hear the moment a new version ships.
Do you provide support?
Yes. Support is handled by the Spark Shipping team. Reach us anytime at support@sparkshipping.com or through the support form.
Can I customize logos, colors, and fonts?
Yes. Upload your logo, set your brand colors, and choose fonts right in the Shopify theme editor (Online Store → Themes → Customize) — no code required. You can also rearrange, add, and hide sections by drag-and-drop.
Can I replace the default imagery?
Yes. All demo imagery is a placeholder. Swap in your own hero images, category tiles, vehicle photos, and brand logos through the theme editor.
Does it work for non-automotive stores?
The theme is optimized for automotive parts retailers, but it's fully customizable. If your catalog is large and benefits from part-number search and quick order, it can work well beyond automotive — you can rename sections, hide fitment features, and adjust branding to suit your niche.
